Aces Cracked Tournament Leaderboard
Season Two

I am pleased to announce the schedule for the second season of the Aces Cracked
No Limit Texas Hold’em Tournament Leaderboard.

Using a simple league table format, the series will consist of twelve $10+$1 NLHE tournaments.

The goal is to find our best No Limit Texas Hold’em tournament player and to crown that person Champion.

How it works

You play in as many of the twelve matches as possible. Each time you play, you earn points. The higher you place in each match, the more points you earn.

At the end of the season we will add together your best eight scores, and the player with the highest points total will be crowned Champion.

Why are we counting only your best eight results? Well, this allows players to miss a few games and not be out of the running... we all have lives away from the poker tables.

How much does it cost to enter?

The Aces Cracked TLB is a purely-for-fun competition with no entry fee.

Just ante-up the $10+$1 entry fee at the table. The prize fund will be distributed as usual by Poker Stars - there no dedications to pay for the TLB or in any other way to grease my pockets.

How to enter the TLB

The competition is open to all registered and active members of the Aces Cracked message board.

To confirm your entry in the TLB, just send me a Private Message or e-mail with your Poker Stars user name.

Once I have your details I will list you in the league table and add you to the announcements mailing list

You do not have to register for the TLB in order to to play in ad-hoc/individual matches, but if you want to earn TLB points and compete for the title you will need to register your details.

There is no entry fee for the TLB i.e. You're just paying the usual $1 rake per match, and that goes straight into the Poker Stars coffers.

Passwords

Our weekly games will be password protected. The password will be published at least 7 days in advance of each match.

You will find the password in the Members Only section of our message board. Non members will not be able to see these private announcements, so you will need to log-in to access that section.

What can I win?

Unlike our freerolls and added-money games, there is no cash prize. This series is all about beating-up on the other Aces Cracked members.

Pride is at stake, bragging rights will be up for grabs, and in all honesty who can put a price on them?

That said, it's always nice to have something to show for your efforts - a reminder of your achievement - and to this end I will present an engraved cup to the Champion.

The Points System

How we calculate the ranking points.

The points are calculated after each game.

((X/Y)*100)+Z = Ranking points

X= number of participants in the tournament
Y= your place finish
Z= Points for participating : 300 if you placed in the money. 200 if you did not place in the money.

Example 1
There were 17 participants and you finished in second place, in the money.
17/2 = 8.5
8.5*100 = 850
850+300 = 1150
Your ranking points for this tournament were 1150.

Example 2
There were 15 participants and you finished in sixth place, not in the money.
15/6 = 2.5
2.5*100 = 250
250+200 = 450

Your ranking points for this tournament were 450.

N.B. Calculations will be rounded to two decimal places.

Tiebreaker : In the unlikely event that two or more players tie for first place, then the player with the highest cash winnings will be crowned TLB winner. If we do not still have a clear winner, then a heads-up (or short-handed) tournament will be held in order to determine the winner.

The Rules

I don’t want to bog things down with lot’s of unnecessary rules, so I’ll keep this short.

Poker Stars standard gameplay & tournament rules will apply. All decisions regarding the allocation of prize funds rests solely with Poker Stars.

No form of cheating or collusion will be tolerated. Suspected offenders will be disqualified from the TLB competition and reported to Poker Stars support.

Joking and banter are trademarks of the Aces Cracked games and an integral part of the fun. If you’re new to the site, you’ll soon see what I mean when you join us at the table. Bring your sense of humour, and don’t be afraid to join in with the chatter. All the same though folks, please be mindful of how your comments could be misinterpreted, we don’t want to inadvertently scare anyone away. ;)

In the event that any disputes should arise, the decision of the management will be final.

Panhandlers: The scourge of private tourneys. Just ask them to leave once, then ignore them please.

Play fair, and be fair.

Anything else?

Well yes as you ask. I’ll be listing all the Aces Cracked TLB. games at BountyPlayer. So, if you’d like to get yourself a little side action, click on the picture-link, sign-up and join the bounty-hunt.
